The only reason I could think of is that they demanded that Vlad be resigned at
any cost. Wink
At least the games would be in the first half of the season.

Well, not only Vlad, but also everyone else who is near the end of their
contract would probably be gone by the trade deadline if the players
refused to split the schedule.

I hope this doesn't mean the first game at the Big O would have to wait
until June.

Now I read in the Gazette that one of the series they're planning to
move is the one against the Jays -- so much for building an "interleague
rivalry!" I know there's not THAT many Blue Jays fans in Montréal, but
between TSN and Sportsnet, there's bound to be some that would come out
to see the Toronto team that ordinarilly wouldn't go to the Big O.

Here we go again--- more nonsense dumped on the Expos by Major League ball
and another season in limbo with no final decision in sight as to the
ultimate fate of the team. Will this idiocy and lack of commitment go on for
years to come? Man, I hope not .This is sheer lunacy.
