I recall reading an article a couple of years ago about what the
different jargon for sitting out a game meant. If someone was
hungover, they were listed as having flu-like symptoms. Doesn't mean
all players out with flu-like symptoms were hungover. I wonder how
many times Lowe was listed this way?

He finally has a valid point Don. Might be his first. Plonk his ass. I

Okay. It does seem that he was cleared to play and then the docs backtracked
some on it. Youk and Pedroia have been the only 2 consistently dependable
hitters of late along with the resurgent Coco Crisp. It hurts to have him
out of the lineup.

Obviously, I can't dispute the above. Hopefully, he will be able to
return on Thursday.

Now, if Crisp can continue to play well and Lugo becomes the player he
was thought to be, they should score more runs.

Side note: Maybe they can just publish the batting average, etc, of
Lugo as of July 1. His average is so low that it will be difficult for
him to get it back to his career avg.

If Lugo finishes the season hitting .240 it means he will have done well
after the break.

I never miss work. Also, I can't remember the last time anybody at my
job missed work in June or July with the flu. Does that mean Manny
wasn't sick? No. Would it surprise me to learn he was not? No.
