No, as I said, my POINT was that valuable roster slots get taken up by
players like Wilson. I know Wilson wasn't on the 40-man at the time.
I was trying to illustrate that a roster slot is only as valuable as
the players you put in it. I probably should have explained myself a
bit better originally, but I mostly post at work and sometimes don't
have a lot of time, so apologies if I was unclear.

Where have I said that Sisco would have the same stats on the Cubs? I
am merely saying that a 6'9" lefty makes more sense on the 40-man
roster than players like Wilson (I mentioned Wilson specifically
because I have a bad taste in my mouth from him starting the Yankees
game I was at, yuck).
No, he did not "rip up the minors" last year but a 4.21 ERA isn't
exactly total failure. Plus a career minor league ERA of 3.72 and 9.9
K's per 9 innings. But all that aside, I have always been interested
in seeing a 6'9" lefty in Cubs pinstripes since we drafted him. Maybe
that's too emotional and not sabermetric enough?
