I thought the offer was pretty fair and if he wont sign for that much then
it looks like the pitching woes will continue.

The only one dumb enough to go to the AAC (Arlington Amusement Complex)
are the football Cowboys.

Didn't they pitch the water slides to Zito? They are just across the
highway.

I have said this before. No one will pitch in Arlington unless there is a
roof. The Cowboys were smart. They are putting a roof on that stadium they
are building. They need to put something ontop of the Ball park in
Arlington.. that place is a damn oven during the day and at night the heat
lingers...

Baseball and American Football are different. Baseball games get rained
out. A roof is OK. When I played little league baseball, I hated rain
outs.

Football is different. Football games do not get rained out. They are
an event.

I'll back off on my negativity on playing football in Arlington. Not a
lot of traffic on Sundays and you get to the stadium early anyway.

Baseball is different. You try to get there after work most of the
time.

In baseball, Arlington stadium has always had the negativity that it
has a minor league feel. You got the roller coasters at Six Flags, you
got the water slides across the way. It just feels like a bush league
place to play pro baseball.

Playing football in Arlington is OK as long as it's outdoors. Never
will happen, but I'll be happy if proven wrong.

Six Flags and water slides?

You don't see any of that from inside the facility, buddy. All the
times I've been there, I never gave those places a thought. I
seriously doubt if anyone else there did, either. Minor league feel?
The only thing minor league is many of the spares who have stood on
the mound.

The only time I have heard about those was during the All-Star game...
