Zito and Schmidt

Remember how Cub fans were upset that Hendry didn't try to sign Zito and
Schmidt?

Zito has a 6-7 record with a 4.41 ERA and the S.F. media and fans are
not happy with what they have seen so far....In his last two starts he
has lasted a total of nine innings while giving up nine earned runs.

Schmidt for the Dodgers is 1-4 with a 6.31 ERA and now scheduled for arm
surgery and is more likely done for the rest of the year.

Makes the acquisitions of Lilly and Marquis look pretty good without
even discussing the salary differences.

Speaking of which, I see that Marquis has turned back into a pumpkin.
