He's overmatched in low A ball right now. I'm guessing he comes back to
Dayton next year. He's young, so he does have time, but it was a lot of
money for a guy stalled in the low minors.

Barry Larkin was probably the last college position player the reds took
this high in the draft. He spent a year and a half in the minors, 600 at
bats. As has been mentioned elsewhere, they could stick Votto in left.

Exactly. On Yonder's side is that the national press seems to approve of the
slot where he was drafted. That's the first time that's happened in a couple
of years. Krivsky gets a lot of credit for "rebuilding the farm system," but
for the most part the guys who came up during his tenure were from Dan
O'Brien's drafts. Krivsky's drafts were of decidedly mixed results.
