Everybody knows it.
Sox fans, who try to cling to this refrain: "2005", are the very
dictionary definition of the word: Pathetic.
Many of these (supposed) "hard-core-fans" have recently made overtures
to Cubs Fans. Simon has posted with, supposedly, innocent looking
posts on the Cubs newsgroup trying to offer his "insight" into players
and tactics. Even the low-life Packer-pussy Dr Crawdad has contributed
posts that hail his "Cubby Fan friends". These fair-weather fans are
more than willing to jump on ANY winning bandwagon...the true sign of
any TRUE White Sox fan.
How very sad they are. If only you could get one of them alone, in a
corner, and suggest: "What if this were 2005, again?" Then you would
hear them talk about Ozzie (the biggest embarrassment to Baseball that
our age will ever know) and about PAULY (if they could only sign him
to a long term contract, everything would be fine. They did, and it
wasn't).
Let us all remember these pathetic Sox Fans, while we enjoy the
spectacular Post-season that we (the TRUE Chicago sports fans)
deserve. Don't be fooled by their posts of "congratulations", and most
especially, do NOT let them fool you by saying: "I've been a Cubs Fan
all of my life!"
