If so why did the Blue Jays organization pass over this 21-year-old kid
who looks like a young Roger Clemens, has a 97--100 mph fast ball
and fantastic breaking-ball pitches?
After five years of J.P. Ricciardi's new rebuilding plan for the Jays,
the Yankees have superior players (statistically) at every position in
their lineup. They also have a fantastic array of young pitchers for next
year including Hughes, Chamberlain, Ramirez, and others.
Their two senior farm teams Scranton and Trenton finished in first place in
their
divisions while Ricciardi's farm teams AAS Syracuse and AA New Hampshire
were near the bottom. All of this shows that the Jays' near future look
dismal indeed.
