You're thinking of Julie Carter. None of us are real old-timers though.
In Olden Tymes, there was Sherry Nichols.

Sean Lahman. What do they have in common? (Baseball Prospectus?)

Sean Forman is the guy behind http://bb-ref.com/, is he not? I presume
he took all the historical stats from Lahman's database? >> Stay informed about: Ya Can't Tell The Posters Without A Scorecard: Who's Who O.. |

Baseball databases. Sean Lahman maintains the Lahman database, which
is the closest thing to a standard historical database out there, at
http://www.baseball1.com, and Sean Forman maintains
Baseball-Reference.com. And they're both nice in person, too.

BTW, I heard Keith Law on ESPN Radio this morning.
He made a claim that it is easier for pitchers to move from the AL to
the NL. I'd like to hear a justification for that.
I realize that ERAs will go down, of course, because you are facing
weaker hitters, but that doesn't mean that you are pitching better.
Is it true that lesser pitchers can hang on longer in the NL?
I thought I did a check into this many years ago and found that pitchers
were equally likely to do better or worse when they switched leagues,
regardless of the direction. However, I don't remember how I did it.

That's disputed. There was a strong claim that they were lost when
the barge they were on was sunk by a German U-boat, but another poster
claimed that their destruction was a hoax and they're all hidden in a
secret government warehouse.
