Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle is 100% spot-on with his
story about how worthless the
Astros ALl-You-Can-Eat Thursday promotion is.

Story is here:

I don't drink beer, so that would hardly be a problem from my POV.

OTOH, for $35 I could eat for a week from a grovery store.

The $35 ALL you can eat Thursdays conflicts once a month with $1
hotdog nights, make it even more worthless.

Astros lay out agenda for FanFest (Houston Astros) - HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros will host the annual Astros FanFest on February 10-11. === Just one of Today's Top 10 Consumer News Stories: http://www.ng2000.com/fw.php?tp=baseball;astros

Help for Astros in 2004 - Why don't the Astros offer free agent Roger Clemens a $5 million contract with proviso he only pitches home games? He could pitch first and last games of typical 6 game homestand and end up with ~20 starts.

Astros Need a HR to win . . . - because no can get a clutch hit. Bases loaded with no outs in the eighth and they can't score. Base loaded again in the 11th with two outs and can't score. My guess is that they have left 15 or more on base today thru 11 innings. It is so frustrating...

astros looking better - Even though they haven't won 8 out of 10 games or anything like that, they are only 5 games out of the wild card with only 4 teams to pass up. A week ago, there were 8 teams in front of them.

ASTROS WIN - The winning streak has reached 10 with today's labor day win over the reds.
