With Johnson and Vidro, that makes a good infield.

Hope they hurry up and find a closer.

I think it makes for a very overrated infield. Guzman had a .309 OBP last
year and little power. Castilla has inflated stats from Coors. Though I
admit they didn't pay much for Castilla. They could have done better.

Bad teams don't need closers.

Good organizations find their closers from random middle relievers and
assorted guys from their minor leagues.

I was hoping the Expos would resign Orlando Cabrera. He was my favorite
player after Vladi left, mostly because of his support for Montreal.

Urbina's available now that Detroit has Percival.

Same here. However, after his performance in the post season (better
than Nomar's numbers), the Sox are obligated to resign him.

Hello yourself -- check the records of the newsgroup for the past five
years before you make ignorant assumptions that we're from Washington.
Both "FSogol" and I have been long-time MONTREAL Expos fans. In fact, I
first thought his nickname was because he was a Fernando Seguinol fan.
Have YOU been an Expos fan long enough to know who Fernandno Seguinol
was?

And yes, I know they have Cordero. But the guy spent just a half-season
in the minors and about a half-year in the majors before Biddle's
ineptitude put him in the role. He still needs seasoning. Urbina is
still a quality close and havs Expos connections. I say sign him for
one-two years and get Cordero some extra experiance.

Ignorant? I've been an Expos's fan since 1973. Cordero could be the
closer if he didn't give up one walk per inning. He (at this time at
least) is not someone you can bring into a game in a save situation.
