Post subject: Wake & NESN

(1) Since 95 the Wake makes me antsy every time he takes the mound. He
gives the club innings and does his job but he gives me ulcers. Add to
that the recent must have no hit Mirabelli catching and that makes for a
nervous night/day.
(2) NESN telecast are beginning to get on my nerves and to piss me off.
For 7 years now via Direct I've been fortunate enough to receive nearly
every Sox game. Most via NESN feed . Between Remy and Orsillo giggling
over many inane matters, the constant in game promos for Red Sox Nation,
The Dating Game, Boobleheads, Remy and his internet site, Constant
banter that's not baseball or game associated. Inning long interviews
with numerous individuals,groups etc. Add to that Tina's BS and it often
gets me angry. The game is the thing and way to often it appears to be a
background for various self and NESN promotions. Granted overall it's
better than many telecast i.e. White Sox with Hawk and Tampa Bay for
example, but there are times when it's over the top.

I commented on this recently. What bothers me most about the in game
interview pieces that Tina does is that they are often replays of stuff
done in the pre-game show. Usually the same day.

This year, I'm mostly watching games with the sound off. I think this
is worth about five points in lowered blood pressure.

Those interview are really probably just an excuse to get Tina more
face time to justify her presence on the broadcast.
Frankly, I haven't seen the point in having this 3rd person on the broadcast

Name me a knuckleballer that didn't make people nervous when he was on
the mound. I think that it's just the nature of the beast. I'd rather have
Wake
as a starter than as a closer, as he was for a short time. Nothing makes me
more nervous regarding a knuckleballer than to see them closing a game with
a man on 3rd in a tight game.

Makes me miss the channel 38 days of Ned Martin and Ken Harrelson.
Hogans Heroes re-runs after the game or sometimes during a rain delay .
