I guess that depends on how one defines the word 'reach'. >> Stay informed about: No WS Day Games in 2004 |

I wonder if we'll ever see another WS day game? The last one was in 1987,
which as luck would have it, occured at the Metrodome.

I wager that if you accumulate all the complaints, the ideal timing
for baseball is a 17-minute game that starts at 631 PM EST.

They end near midnight in the east. On Sunday Fox will not let the
idiot conflict with the NFL and on Saturday they are afraid of college
football.
Meanwhile it is not a coincidence that there is no Sunday night
football this week. The NFL does not want to compete with the Series yet
baseball fears regular season football.

Not true. You'd piss off the entire West Coast.

Still think the best solution would be to fall the hour back on the East
Coast before the postseason and only do the same on the West Coast
afterwards. That way there's only two hours' difference between EST and
PDT.

That's the answer. In October, all four time zones are shifted into one
(unfortunately for the west coast, they'll have to get up early, because
late-sun games are an abombination).

Besides, with all the commercials they put into Fox baseball games, even if
they started the WS games at 5PM Eastern they'd still end around 10:30-11PM
Eastern, or so it seems.

Neither. I work on the west coast and like watching the games. I also
think scheduling games where more people will be watching is not only
smart business, but is by definition, fan-friendly.

Fear has nothing to do with it. It's just smart business. Why
intentionally limit your viewership? That makes no sense.
