First off all , he can speak english, just not well enough in his own
opinion to speak it publicly. I ran into him in Montreal last year; I was
with my wife, who is hispanophone. My spanish is not good but I do know
some words so I tried to talk to him but half my words were english. He
understood everything I said and I guess 0he must have appreciated the
effort I was trying to make speaking spanish, because he spoke to me in
English and his english was a lot better than my spanish.
Secondly, who cares what langage he speaks ? Sure you don't get sound bytes
after the game from him, but he is the best Expos ever, what is more
important ? >> Stay informed about: Vlad is a talent but... |

I agree with ABF, its irrelevant what language he speaks,
or which ethnicity he belongs to.
This is such a non issue.

the guy has to communicate with the coachs, trainers, etc though...
It seems to be working out well, so i guess it is a non-issue.
A more pressing concern is whether or not The Mighty Ichiro speaks English! >> Stay informed about: Vlad is a talent but... |
