My ten-year-old son is looking at getting a good video baseball game.
He primarily uses (and prefers) a Game Cube, but has an N64 also. He
is looking at a game called MVP Baseball 2004. Is this a good game for
someone his age? Any different recommendations? Thanks.

Tom

I've been a fan of the High Heat series since the 1999 edition of the
game. But 3DO is out of business now. The 2003 version seems to be too
buggy, and they went out of business before they did any patching.

The batter vs. pitcher of HH was always reat, but the company going
bankrupt wrecks it.

Which really, really stinks. I discovered HH last December and I came away
very impressed with the gameplay. Amen to the batter/pitcher duels. I
LOVE that bit. "What's it gonna be, Mr. Batter? Am I going fastball?
Curve? Oh maybe you'd like to see my changeup? Can't hit the change, can
you? Huh?"

Maybe Microsoft will bail us out with a title next season. They bought out
the High Heat rights (even though they have their own baseball title). No
idea if they plan on developing another version or not.
