0-4, 3 Ks and a GIDP,
6 LOB,

To be fair, one of the errors was a bad hop, and another was on a
very hard hit ball (all the slo-mo replays were a bit misleading).
Another scorer might have only given him one error.

What struck me about the game was the lousy umpiring on tag plays. It's
as if they can't be bothered to figure out if the guy actually gets
tagged before he touches the base or not. Kinsler was safe on his
second steal attempt, Navarro was safe at home, but because the throws
were there early, the umps just call them out.

I also was getting annoyed by all the whining about pitchers like Kazmir
having to come in and pitch, or some relievers having to pitch 2 innings.
If they can't play they shouldn't be on the team. And if it's a problem,
it's one of the managers' making. If they want the game to mean something,
manage it sensibly instead of trying to get everyone in the game.

Finally, McCarver was his usual annoying self, stating the obvious and
repeating it like it's some brilliant insight.

I wouldn't mind so much if he did that. His problem is that he states
something obviously *wrong*, and then repeats it like its some brilliant
insight, even as the scene unfolding on the TV debunks what he just said.
