A nice game for Twins pitching yet again. They have looked
pretty impressive over the last few weeks. Today they shut
out the "mighty" Tigers with a five hit game. Nice!

Nice game for the offense, too. The bats really came alive
for Mauer, Gomez, Young and even, yes...Nick Punto!

Nice series win for the Twins, and it would have been a sweep
if it weren't for Ulger blowing the first game in the series with
his crazy bullpen antics.

Now, time to root for the Indians and A's to beat up on the
ChiSox over the next few days....wishful thinking, I know.

Go Twins!!!

Nick "The Blur" Blackburn, Jesse "Big Train" Crain, and Boof "Laser"
Bonser held the Tigers scoreless, the tenth time the Tigers have been
shut out this year, most in the major leagues.

Tomorrow the toothless kitties will face Carlos "Slippery" Silva, he
of 5.69 ERA fame...

The big question is will the Tigers score enough runs off of Silva to
make up for all of the runs Verlander and/or the Tigers bullpen will
give up?

My guess is NO.
