Unlike the previous, what, 4 years?, the DH position for the Twins has
been producing. The job has fallen mainly to Jason Kubel and Craig
Monroe. Looking at the DH stats we see that the Twins are:

5th in BA
5th in SLG
7th in RBI
6th in HR
and they have yet to ground into a double play.

Think about that for a moment--Jason Kubel and Craig Monroe are
competing, and often beating, the likes of David Ortiz, Travis Hafner,
Jim Thome, Gary Sheffield, Garett Anderson, etc.

There is room for improvement as they are:
4th most in strikeouts
Last in walks drawn

Kubes has really done well this year and so early in the season. He'll
be a strong contender if he stays healthy.

And then there's Punto! Heck, even he got a hit the other day.

AnnE Go TWINS keep on a rollin'
