The Indians put Josh Phelps onto the active roster and sent Kaz Tadano
to AAA. Since Tadano was dropped from the starting rotation, and
wasn't really pitching at all, it's better that he is in Buffalo,
getting innings and refining his game.
To clear up room on the 40-man roster, the Indians designated Alex
Escobar for assignment. He is flawed player, with talent, but the
lack of strikezone judgement and utter inability to stay healthy has
killed him. I was never particularly high on Escobar [Quote Me(Dec
11, 2001): "I think the Indians could have gotten more or better (for
Robbie Alomar), but that's because I'm not especially high on
Escobar.] but he's been below even what I expected. If he has a good
attitude, he'll keep getting shots. If he doesn't, he'll be out of
baseball in three years. >> Stay informed about: Transactions - Phelps/Tadano/Escobar |

Well, I was in Kenosha, Wisconsin listening to the White Sox
broadcast, so it probably isn't quite what you had in mind. >> Stay informed about: Transactions - Phelps/Tadano/Escobar |

no, you're right about that. I didn't spring for the MLB radio package this
year so that I could listen over the internet..... >> Stay informed about: Transactions - Phelps/Tadano/Escobar |
