No! Trade Reyes! I hear we can get Barry Zito for him! Or a backup
catcher from Kansas City!

Fire Omar Minaya! Get rid of the grounds crew! Shoot Pedro in the toe!
Release Santana now! This is the last month of WFAN and this nws group.

Here is the smart money on what to do:

KEEP MAINE, PEREZ, SANTANA, and even consider a 1 year deal for Martinez

I don't know why it needs to be said, but Keep Reyes, Beltran and Wright

Keep Omar. He's been nothing short of a micarlce worker at times.

Hire Backman or Oberkfeld, better Backman and put Oberkfeld in charge of
scouting. Release Delgado and Alou or just let them go at the end of the
season.

Things that need replaced 2nd, C, LF, RF

Trade Bait for propects

Wagner, Heilman, Castillo, Pelfrey, Chavez, Schneider....see what's out
there. Omar is good at pulling off trades.

Perez will follow Boras money and get his money some place else
(probably Texas). He is as good as gone after the season is over,
because he won't be worth the money.

Pedro, he will be re-signed so he can finish his career as a Met. He
still put people on the seats.

I'm still not sure what's the fascination with Backman.

What do you want to do with Chuch? Who's playing 1B?

Why do you want to trade Pelfrey? He is finally starting to dominate
the opposition. Chavez is a good bench player and Schneider will bring
you nothing in return. His platoon with Castro is fine. Trading Wagner
and Heilman? You just weaken the bullpen big time.

If we could somehow convince Perez that every team he's facing
is the Yankees (and Braves), he'd be great. I really think he
needs to see a shrink (I think someone else suggested this a
while ago).

Maybe he's pitching for a big contract with the Yankees?
