Okay, I know spring isn't worth a darn, but nobody hit better this
spring for the Dodgers than Cora. Ross certainly didn't look like a
heavy hitter in spring and Paulie is not tall enough for first base.
Hernandez serves one purpose--keep fans cool on those hot summer days.
The guy IS a windmill.

I'd like to see somebody bat behind Beltre. He showed some patience
at the plate--another positive infused by Tim "Eli" Wallach. Brian
Lawrence went deep into the count QUITE often yesterday. Patience and
more wear on the opposing pitcher means more hits, quite simple. Just
the way Eli used to play. If Adrian is learning to not love every
pitch he sees, maybe pitchers will be forced to throw him strikes.
And, hey, if there's somebody behind him who can hit, maybe they won't
want to walk him. Just thinking out loud.
