Tosca Gets Greedy In 13-6 Loss To Seattle

When the Jays were up 2 runs at the beginning of the fifth inning, manager Carlos
Tosca, going all out for a win brought in his overworked short or
late-inning reliever Jason Kershner. Never mind that the overworked,
slightly-built Kershner is obviously arm weary, Tosca for his own ego
had to win this meaningless game. The underworked Tanyon Sturtze had
just stuck three mariners in succession to end the fourth inning. But Tosca
does not have confidence in Sturtze and in a baffling move he took him out.
The Jay's manager's plan, if things went
well was no doubt to have Kershner pitch three innings and the overworked
Aquilina Lopez to pitch the last two.

It is moves like this that show Tosca does not care about his players, has no
consistent strategy and just wants to win games. Each line-up for every game
is a surprise and confusing for the team with no rhyme or reason. Tosca is
arguably the worst manager the Jays have ever had.
