the Mets, 6-2. San Diego's other hitting star for the game is shortstop
Enzo Hernandez, who goes 3 for 4 with 1 run. Starting pitcher Randy Jones
(7-2) gets the win, throwing 7 innings and allowing 6 hits, 1 walk, and both
Met runs.
Met third baseman Joe Torre and catcher Jerry Grote each have 2 hits for New
York, and center fielder Del Unser has a first-inning, lead-off home run.
Starter Jerry Koosman (4-3) takes the loss for the Mets.
