Rogers just looked old and weary out there tonight. He could
barely get in five innings. Is he playing injured?

Chubrera was once again a big ZERO at the plate...with another
of his typical strikeouts. Guillen strikes out TWICE. Ugh. Terrible
game for the Tigers offense AND pitching...against the Indians...
who just had a fire sale on some of their best players.

The Tigers are quickly slipping back down to .500 or below. Ouch.

Meanwhile the Twins are easily handling the ChiSox in the Metrodome.

Looks like it's going to be a long second half for the Tigers this season.

Tigers are still a game over .500. Paul Byrd pitched a great game.
Tiger's didn't make him work in the early innings hence his long
outing. Guillen had only struck out against Byrd 1 time in 42
previous at bats against him. Last night showed how "on" Byrd was by
striking Carolos out twice and walking him once.

Indian pitching has 11 shoutouts this season, tied for the most in the
league with Boston.

White Sox were tired from beating up on the Tigers. They'll win the
next three after a good night's sleep.

And that is somehow encouraging to you? That the Tigers are
heading into August barely above .500?

It looked more to me like the Tigers hitting was "off" as much as
it was Byrd pitching well. But yes, Byrd apparently does have the
Tigers number.

Well, three of those belonged to Sabathia, who is now gone.

The Indians are definitely a team the Tigers SHOULD beat.

Don't bet on it. Wink

The Twins either split or win the series.
