I'm sure all of you have seen or heard about the first 2 games of series
vs. Red Sox. 6 errors total, being baffled by a rookie pitcher (game
1), general skittishness and sloppy play.

Sorry to say, but today Bonderman is gonna have to get another 14 k's in
order to beat the best pitcher with a girlie haircut, Pedro.

Red Sox are fighting for wildcard, at home, playing good baseball, and
alas our Tigers are just speed bumps right now.

Of course my negative comments aside, they'll prolly beat the
afro/mullet off of Pedro and win 14-2...

LOL, hardly intimidated. More like the better team won. I really don't
think they were quaking in their boots.

With the Big 3 out of the lineup, how are they supposed to beat Pedro
and his grlie man haircut? Ahh, you always live to play another day in
baseball, though.

Like other teams have beaten Pedro, get more hits off of him. They didn't,
so they lost. No intmidation.

I didn't expect much from the Tigers vs Boston. First, The injuries and
illnesses have put our mainline veterans out of the series for the most
part. Second, Boston is in a fight for the Wild Card. They needed to
beat us more than we wanted to beat them. Third, the Tigers aren't
motivated. In my opinion, The Tigers were looking for respect this
year. I think the team is respected for what it is " a club that is
rebuilding." There was no respect last year. Now teams have to look
seriously at the Tigers. The Tigers look to have accomplished this
minimal respectability and have little else to achieve in 2004 other
than the .500 pipedream. Whathey need is a fire lit under themfor
whatever reason. Tram is a great baseball man, but is steady not fiery.
He needs a bit more confidence and a little more Gibby in him at times.
Just my opinion

I agree. I think Tram will do fine and he has show improvement. I think
this is the time of year teams like the Tigers start running out of gas.
They did not play with any fire this weekend at all. Almost as if they have
said to themselves "ok selves, we have succeeded in being better this year".
I hope Tram can kick their butts a bit and remind them they have another
month to play.
