I know we have been paying players who are no longer with the team. Now
that the season is over, are the Tigers free of paying them? Easley for
example?

I depends on when their contracts end. I don't when the contracts end but
they have to pay until then.

Damion Easley has a 4-year contract at $26.5 million total for 4 years,
ending 2004, with a club option for 2005. I have some suspicion the '05
option will not be picked up. <g> There may be a buyout amount for '05 ---
usually is.

Palmer's contract is done this year. I believe that Sparks is
done too, as is Paquette.

Easley is through another year yet.

Out of curiosity, how much of Easley's contract was Tampa
Bay picking up?

Who's Your Tiger? - Ryan Raburn? 7 RBI? 2 home runs and a 2 run single in the 9th inning? A career game for most players. And....he didn't find out he was starting until 15 minutes before the game, when Shef couldn't go. Leyland said in the post game show he's going to play...

Tiger Win Streak - Hey, maybe I will get my wish of a 6 game winning streak. Tigers won their 2nd game in a row beating the Royals 4-3 last night (Wednesday) putting their record at 40-118 with 4 games left in the season. Shane Loux got his first major league win and..

More Ex-Tiger moves - Ex Tiger with a World Series ring Juan Encarnacion has been traded by the Marlins to the Dodgers. Juan is someone I believe the Tiger administration gave up on too soon. He has done well with the Reds and Marlins. He'll certainly help a Dodger team..
