"3B Carlos Guillen got a day off to let his hemorrhoids heal up
Wednesday night. “I’m going to stand him for a couple days,” manager
Jim Leyland said, noting Guillen is having problems sitting down.
Detroit is off Thursday. Resting Guillen let Leyland insert UT Brandon
Inge at third and have RF Magglio Ordonez DH, giving UT Ryan Raburn a
start in right."

Heh. He's going to "stand" him. Smile

Quote To Note: “Look, this team needs to realize that this guy took
on Barry Bonds. He’d run every one of us out of town. You’re just
better off if you don’t cross him. And I think he relayed that message
100 percent. You just don’t mess with him. It’s not that hard. He
doesn’t ask a whole lot.” -– RHP Todd Jones after his manager, Jim
Leyland, challenged his players to “look in the mirror” if they wanted
to blame somebody for the team’s struggles.

As many wise folks, including George Brett, have said - hemorrhoids are
funny until you are the one suffering.

I once had them so bad, I was afraid I was going to
step on them so I tucked them in my socks.

Runs Per Season:
31' Yankees (1,067)
99' Indians (1,009)
2008 Tigers (254)

I don't think they are funny. In fact, as a rule, it's a topic I
prefer not to think about. I do enjoy word play, however.
