I'm gonna be in town for the Giants series next week. Do I need to pre-buy
them (and pay all the handling fees) or will tickets be available the day of
the game? I'm looking at Tuesday or Wednesday night.
Thanks

Depends how many tickets you want and where you want to sit. If you're
willing to sit anywhere and only need a couple of tickets, there's no
danger in waiting until you get to town. Tuesday and Wednesday games
don't come close to selling out these days, even against the Giants.

Wednesday nights have half-price Diamond Dogs, large bag of peanuts and
large fountain drinks. Or at least, they used to.

You're welcome. One other advantage to waiting until day-of-game to buy
tickets is that sometimes, you get the opportunity to buy tickets in
Section J. That's the section immediately behind home plate.

Twice, I've had the opportunity to sit in the third row of Section J. The
first two rows are guys with radar guns, notebooks and stopwatches.

Those seats ain't cheap, but man are they cool.
