So for the West Coast fans, I thought I'd post my experience getting
tickets to the Sox-Pads interleague series in June.

Drove down to the Petco Park box office this morning and got there at
8:00 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. opening. Line was around the block
already, probably 200 people before me.

At about 8:30, Petco Park staffer announces that the Boston series will
likely be sold out before the ticket window even opens, so if you have
access to a computer, she said, you will have a better shot because they
go on sale online an hour earlier at 9:00 a.m.

So I drove back home, and the wife and I both got online and started
hitting the server for "best available" seats right at 9:00 a.m. By
9:15, I had a pair for each game, but they're pretty terrible seats:
Upper Reserved over right field for Friday and Sunday, and Roof
(Obstructed) for Saturday.

I didn't expect to get third row behind the plate, but I guess I'm a
little disappointed the seats aren't a little better after all that
effort. But Petco's a great park for a game, so I'm still pretty stoked.

Go Sox!

We were fortunate to win the pre-sale raffle and got to buy up to 8
tickets Thursday. We could only buy 4 per game. We got 4 for
Saturday night, upper deck, right field and 4 for Sunday upper deck
behind home plate. I think most tickets were sold by then.
