Still ANOTHER Dodgers-Padres game goes down to the last
pitch in the 9th inning.
Fine comeback by LA, and some gutty work for the last out by
Trevor Hoffman.
Tomorrow? Oh Nothin'... Just Brad Penny vs Jake Peavy! >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

That game is definitely going to be worth the price of admission... even at
scalper prices! >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

I wonder if anybody other than Peavy has ever started out 9-1, and
then faced guys with better records than that in his next two starts. >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

Yeah, it was fun watching it work down to the last out there. I was
wondering how Hoffy was going to deal to Gonzalez and the fly out was
the best you could expect. But Cameron stumbling for that deep flyball
in the 9th was the one that did it, or I never would've considered it
a close one.
Same tomorrow, no doubt. >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

Unfortunately, I'm going to miss this game but will definitely DVR it and catch
it in the AM.

Maybe because the options would be Tomko or Hendrickson.
I still think that if we make a trade or deal it should be for a starter,
not a hitter. >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

There was a time when you would NEVER trade a good player to your rival, but
these days, who knows?. I wouldn't want the Gints to have one of our good
prospects. He would have years to make us sorry. >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

Matt Cain I would trade for. Matt Morris, no. >> Stay informed about: Terrific Comeback and Game |

We'd better get somebody, damnit. Relying on 3 proven starters and two
maybetheycandoitifthestarsalign prospects sucks big time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. we cannot beat the Padres head
to head as things are. They produce runs about as well as we do, seem to be
better situational hitters, and their pitching is deeper.
As things are, the only we hope we have is that other teams beat the stink
out of them and we tie, giving them the pennant and us the wild card....
again.
