The loser Hicks, owner of not one but two laughingstock professional sports
franchises, offered Mark Teixeira 140 million to sign on as a fellow loser for
life. Not surprisingly Mark turned it down. Any franchise other than one owned
by Hicks has a much better chance of actually being competitive and making the
playoffs.

I would hardly call the Stars a "laughing stock." They have won a cup and
played pretty well and demanded superb fan attendance their time while being
here. The Rangers on the other hand were a laughing stock even before Hick
arrived...

Your right, I shouldn't have mentioned them. Hockey and soccer are irrelevant
sports in the U.S. and should not be referenced.
