So Ricciardi is taking the heat for not being upfront about Ryan ...

Anyone that's dealt with the sleazy culture of Rogers Cable knows
exactly where that tactic was developed and approved ... in the head
office of Ted Rogers himself.

Keeping the injury secret was the best way to ensure that home crowd
would buy into the expected contender status of the team -- buy into,
as in tickets.

Now that the deception has been established, I say Toronto fans oughta
pay the prick(s) back in spades ... follow the team, but stay at home
and watch on the tube.

As a loyal blue jays fan for years I could not agree with you
more......... the problem is living on the west coast victoria, this
weekend i cannot watch the team i love ...the only canadian team ....
because the whole minnesota series is not televised!!!! Lets see he owns
the team tv rights rogers centre but will not pay to televise the the
games to his loyal paying fans. maybe this could cut into the poor mans
budget. Are we all stupid? Its all about giving us minimum for
maximum.I am a fan for decades who will watch and support regardless
whenever there are televised. What about future fans ? Is there a future
or will we loose another franchise to america?

channels on my cable but none of the minne games on the
tube.

This sucks big time so maybe its time to go
to a new provider piss on mr big bucks .

I feel the same way aftet he ripped of the
tax payers of Ont. to buy the dome and
has that jerk water Goddfrey in charge.

And of course you may be right another
franchise may soon go south off the border
to bad to sad.

He is setting everyone up for pay-per-view. He can't televise all
the games for free because when he starts charging for some games,
people will feel ripped off because they once received every game
for free. But if he doesn't telecast some of the games, then he can
start to put those games on pay-per-view and pretend that he is
doing everybody a favour by making these games available at all.
Since you weren't receiving these games for free, you aren't
actually losing anything when he starts charging for them.

It's pathetic. A while ago he just unilaterally changed the terms
of service. He then said that these terms would apply to everyone
unless they took exception to them and unless they specifically
rejected these terms in a communication to him, these terms would
automatically apply. This is illegal. Rogers is the laughing stock
of every first year Contract Law class at every law school in
Canada. It's appalling. We are embarrassed to be a part of it, but
the alternatives are just as bad.

cordially, as always,

rm

There is a second TSN channel called "SPORT" or "Sports Preview
Channel." And it carries the home team feeds of some Jays road
games. Tonight it carried the Minnesota telecast. It is on station
204 on Rogers in Ontario. But we don't know where it is elsewhere.

Blue Jays games from Minnesota were televised by Rogers MLB specialty
channel.
I watched them all. The broadcasts were done by FSN.

Don't knock Rogers. If Ted Rogers had not bought the Blue Jays it is
likely Canada would not now have a MLB franchise.
And stop bitching about Rogers' TV baseball coverage. With their MLB
ticket or Extra-Innings package I have been
able to get on TV every Blue Jays game played this year so far. Yes,
it costs about $160 total for the season, but
you could pay more than that for one ticket to see the lousy Toronto
Maple Leafs lose at the Air Canada Centre.
