God, that was satisfying. Awesome hitting by Church and Pena. Awesome
pitching by Rauch and Ayala (who kicked it up a notch). Nice defensive
plays by Logan, Zimmerman, and Fick. Also give Church an A+ for his
comment to Debbi Taylor after the game:
Debbi, "So Ryan, where do you guys go from here?"
Church, "Sweep the Phillies."

It was great to see. I'm a former, hardcore Mets fan, so I have somewhat
mixed emotions, but the fact is that they don't deserve to win the division.
Given that, I hope we can do to the Phils what we did to the Mets. GO NATS!
BTW, I thought it was bad when Nats fans boo their players. They've got
nothing on our northern brethren, though. Strange motivational technique,
indeed. |
