The A's placed Nick Swisher on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a right
shoulder sprain, according to the AP. He suffered the injury in the third
inning of Sunday's game after colliding with the right field wall while
attempting to catch a fly ball. Swisher is batting .218 with three home runs
and eight RBI in 22 games this season
