In the season opening series?

By the Royals?

Really?!?!?

Once again, the Tigers pitching let them down, and the offense
couldn't make up for it. I see a pattern forming here.

Bonderman looks like he is back to last seasons form.

Maybe that mighty offense isn't all it's cracked up to be....at least
consistency wise. I'm sure they'll eventually have a big game or
two this season.

Better luck with the ChiSox series, Tigers fans.

The rumor hasn't changed.

A pattern? After 3 games and only playing one team? C'mon, Scott, I know
you like to keep things real, but they've only played one team.

It sucks being 0-3 to start the season, but I'm not changing my opinion that
there will be some high scoring games.

Yes, a pattern of the pitching being shaky and the offense not being
able to make up the difference consistently.

I'm surprised you're not over in the Twins' newsgroup, discussing the
stellar performance of your team.
Unlike the Tigers, I'm afraid the Twins' hitting woes will be season long.

Nobody is expecting stellar performance from the Twins this season,
not even their fans. They have had a couple of decent pitching
surprises so far....but their offense still sucks, as expected.

The Tigers, on the other hand....

>Unlike the Tigers, I'm afraid the Twins' hitting woes will be season long.

It's sad that you need to compare your team to the depleted and
rebuilding Twins to make yourself feel better about your teams
deficiencies. But whatever gets you through the night. Wink

Sure they can...they could score zero runs against the Royals or give up 40
runs.

Depends on your definition of high scores.

No, today the Tigers are the losers.

Swept by the Royals to start the big 2008 season.

yaaawwwwwwnnnnnn

no matter how you cut it, it's three games. If it were three games in a row
in mid June, no one would even notice.

I don't usually respond in this newsgroup because I find everyone in here to
be childish. With that said, our pitching has definitely not let us down.
Bonderman was fine and our bullpen has done better than I thought it would.
The offense on the other hand...........
