I wish someone would drive a stake through the heart of "formula
baseball". Pulling Marcum, despite pitching a no-hitter into the 6th,
to put in Fraser the stiff, is one of the most stupid things I have
seen the Jays do lately. >> Stay informed about: Surely it's time... |

Wish they could find an "old school" style manager who makes choices
based upon experience, and instinct rather then the miracle of
percentage stats. Replace Gibbons with a computer program, cheaper,
no contract to worry about, and if the program acts up you can always
reformat and reload. >> Stay informed about: Surely it's time... |

Hahahahah
They could put a computer in the jays dugout and tape a Jays hat on the
monitor!
I love it.

Well this may be a first, but I got to say
i agree with you bk,I always figured
gibbons was stupid and shows no
kind of backbone,my guess is ricky
recardo is pulling his strings like
a puppet.
It at least with all the injured players would have given a lift to the
teams
spirits,if nothing else.
There is nothing you can do about injures
all teams have that problem but they
sunk all their money into name players
to sell tickets.my bro and I shelled
out for a block of 28 home games
we will be lucky to give them away
now.
The farm teams are totally depleted
gona be a long summer.....

Marcum himself said in the newspaper that he was exhausted and really
struggling at that point, obviously Gibbons knew this and pulled him. >> Stay informed about: Surely it's time... |

How often does Frasor have to fail before Gibbons stops using him in
tight games?: Or Tallet, both seem to be holding their positions, more
due to lack of depth then performance. >> Stay informed about: Surely it's time... |

Either Marcum is a "team player" covering for his idiot manager after the
fact, or he's a wuss that I would not want on my team. If he WANTED out of
that game, he's a gutless, worthless A ball player. Yes, after six, I'd have
had someone up in the bullpen, but he's still going back out there
until/unless he gives up a hit.

I think it's the former. He didn't want to cross Gibbons and make him look
like an absolute tool.
Gibbons pulling Litsch was a sound move...Gibbons pulling a guy throwing the
game of his life...was unbelievable. I still cannot believe it. At least
give him the ball until he gives up a hit for chrissakes.
