Giant fans haven't forgotten 2002 as evidenced by the booing of Lackey &
K-Rod. Probably some A's fans in the mix as well.

Barry Bonds is a classless schmuck, all but calling out Hank Aaron for not
wanting to participate in Roidstock 2007.

Barry says he was trying to move the runner over to third... What a team
guy! Errr... He inside outed it to left. I guess lying just comes second
nature to him now.

K-Rod has been really shaky lately, no command of his fastball. But, as per
usual, he gets the save.

I guarantee you they haven't. I've been hanging out on the Giants
newsgroup since then and Giants fans are really bitter about a lot of
things involved with their not having seen a SF WS win. But while they
hate the team that beat 'em, their bitterest feelings are toward Baker,
the man they called BFI (Big Fat Idiot, aka Livan), and the man they
called FRaud (that would be their Rodriquez).

Has KRod ever really had great command, or was he a master getting hitters
to swing at bad pitches? I think it's the latter. The Yankees exposed him
with their patient approach two years ago, and now the book the is out on
Frankie to work a deep count on him. He's no Troy Percival. He can't come
into games and challenge hitter with fastballs. He depends on a nasty slider
that looks like a strike when it leaves his hand, but it's usually a ball
when hitters lay off. Then he's forced to throw the fastball.

The times when K-Rod is his most dominant is when he can paint the corners
with that fastball. He was doing that last season during the time when he
was on the scoreless streak and he was hitting 96mph because his release
point was on and he was in a groove and pushing full boar. That mixed in
with his slider and he was unbelievably tough. You'll notice he goes back
to a consistant 93-94mph when his command is off. I believe he went through
a bit of this control spell last year and then he found his groove.

Just a thought on our starting pitching but I wonder if our pitchers haven't
been as good as in past years due to the loss of Black. I'm not taking
anything away from Butcher as we haven't even seen him a full season, but
I'm sure they teach different practices and such and I wonder if the guys
are having a harder time getting back in sync...the sync they've grown so
used to with Black. Just a thought.

The loss of Black may have had some effect, but I doubt if it's too much.
Butcher was in the ANgels org for years and prospects had to get through him
first before they got Bud.
