This is another example of the NCAA's blatant favoritism toward
Stanford. Everyone else was eliminated after only two losses.

Actually, it could have been worse. Has Stanford won game 3 of
the championship series, everyone in the tournament would've had two
losses and been eliminated, and there'd be no champion at all, sort of
like Division I-A football. Who would the polls have picked as #1?

John Manuel as much as admitted this when he appeared on the
Stanford student radio station during one of the CWS games.
