We're trying to run a regular old ultra-style rotisserie league, with
FAAB to add new free agents and waivers to pick up only players released
from their rotisserie teams, and I'm having trouble setting that up with
Sportsline's Baseball Commissioner. It seems as though we have just two
choices for the free agents: either first come/first serve, or a
'waiver' process, in which every player not on a roto team is on
waivers, and the waiver period is just 3 days - how does that work with
a weekly transaction cycle?

Can anyone please help me set this up? Am I missing something? Is
there more flexibility to set up waivers and free agents with their
other products - like a private league under their Fantasy Baseball
Basic package ($9.95 each), or do I need to use a more expensive one?

Thanks - I didn't think I was this clueless.

There is no way to do this with Sportsline, unless you do it manually. My
league is in the same boat, and we actually have to write down the waived
players (and whatever their salary was), and track the FAAB manually.
You'll need to set up the Add/Drop process to be "Commissioner approves all
Add/Drops". Then, when an owner bids on an FA, the commish approves each
bid individually (or rejects the losing bids)... and then has to go into
each teams roster and adjust the new player's salary. It's a process that
takes me about 1 to 2 hours each week at the transaction deadline, depending
on the number of bids submitted for that week.

If you want it to all be taken care of by the stats site, you'll need to go
to TQ Stats. They're also $40 cheaper than Sportsline... but you get what
you pay for. My league actually started out at TQ Stats, because I didn't
want the hassle of commish duties - TQ can be configured to do almost
anything you want, and it will do it all automatically. However, none of my
owners could figure out how to use the website, so they all voted to throw
in the extra money and move us to Sportsline. If TQ could implement a
better interface, they would be the perfect stats site for Fantasy Baseball.
