Spare parts

The Astros continue to sign spare parts, adding Doug Brocail and Jose
Cruz Jr, They offer abritration to Loretta and Miller and pass on Lamb
and Jennings.

In a somewhat more important move, the Astros are ont he verge of
signing Kaz Matsui..This likely spells the end oChris Burke as an
Astro, unless there is a strange plan to move Matsui to short (where
he played his first year with the Mets).

Overall, it looks like the Astros plan to rebuild cheaply next year
and let the young guys play to see who is worth keeping for 2009.
