AJC reports that Soriano could return Monday, and Smoltz also may be back
this week:

Also, Andruw is headed to the DL for surgery on his knee, out 4-6 weeks:

They activated Buddy Carlyle from the DL, designating Chris Resop for
assignment to make room today. Carlyle will probably get the next
Campillo start unless that blister clears up more quickly than
expected. Regardless, that leaves an interesting question about what
they'll do when Sori and Smoltz are ready to be reactivated. I'm
guessing Jo-Jo Reyes and Phil Stockman go back to Richmond but it's no
way certain.

Starters: Hudson, Jurrjens, Glavine, Campillo (once the blister goes
away.)
Relievers: Smoltz, Soriano, Acosta, Boyer, Ohman, Bennett

Bubbles: Reyes, Carlyle, Royce Ring

Gone: Stockman

One of Reyes or Carlyle will stay. Royce Ring may be the odd man out
as he's not performed that well to date and he isn't really a long
swing man like Carlyle. Smoltz/Sori/Acosta/Boyer/Ohman get the Braves
through the last three innings pretty well. Getting from 4 through 7
on the days Glavine, Reyes or Campillo can't go long is the hard part.

It'll depend on whether Bobby wants to have only one lefty (Ohman) in the
relief corps. Ring has mixed results against lefties, 190/250 in BA/OBP, but
429 SLG against. But I agree with you that Ring will go down; i think Bobby
will decide that you don't need platoon specialist relievers when you have
Soriano and Smoltz in setup and closing.

Too bad for Stockman, he's pitched lights-out so far. I suppose Bobby could
go with a seven man bullpen and keep him, given how few of our starters can
go deep into games.

What's the story on Brayan Pena at this point? Given how badly Miller has
sucked I figure he'll be back at some point. ESPN.com notes that Pena was
activated from the DL and DFA'ed on May 23. I wonder if he's waiting to
clear waivers before reporting to Richmond.
