Buehrle wondered aloud yesterday if the rumors of the Rangers stealing
signs and relaying them to the hitters wasn't true. Mark thought he
pitched better yesterday than he did in the previous game in which he
was awesome.

They don't have to steal signs in Texas.
The crowds are so quiet there, it would be easier just to give it a holler
from any zealot fan in those 3rd base box seats.

Anyone think that McCarthy's fine showing tonight was watched by
Cincinnati's scouts?

Oh, no doubt they did if the trade isn't already dead in the water.

That the trade hasn't happened yet makes me wonder if junior didn't
just say no. He has a -no trade- clause in his contract. It's either
that or the Reds won't eat enough of the contract. Those are the only
two things that make sense as this trade is a no-brainer on both sides
otherwise.

I guess it's moreso about whether the Reds want to swallow a chunk of that
contract even though the White Sox have shown that they can still hit. As
far as today went, I was satisfied with the split because even though they
reported 29,000 in Texas - it seemed like Wrigley Field back in the early -
mid sixties as far as the crowd seemed. I get a sense that the White Sox
thrive on big attendance to make them play tighter because anything that's
been hurting them recently has been their fielding...
