Course it might help if the starters would quite throwing hanging meat
balls over the middle of the plate or go more than 4 innings. That
includes Kershaw, who was rushed with only a quarter season in AA.
How's he supposed to know how to pitch with runners on when he's never
HAD runners on in both his pro and ameture career? He has no idea how
to hold a runner much les pitch out of the stretch.

Starting pitching has been relatively good lately.

It's of course nice to get solid starting pitching but unless someone can
refurbish Koufax' arm and get him back up there, 2 runs ain't gonna do it.
