Rather then complain...DON'T WATCH.
I'd rather have this match up then Red Sux or the Flubs. Can you imagine a
series that would never end? Both teams would be handing the game to other
and neither accepting.

Hmmm. "Compelling stories" or good baseball? Tough choice that.
Why not just nix the entire season and playoffs and let the Tigers play the
Padres - there's two teams with "compelling stories" up the whazoo.

I don't think it will be that bad
nothing would have been as good as the series the Yanks and Red Sox put
together just now

Actually Boston has a huge national fan base. Look at their away game
attendance.. The Red Sox are adored everywhere I have been, and that
is a lot of places.
Did you see all the Sox fans and the noise they made in the Oakland
series? The Yankees have a big fan base because they moved out of
that concrete & steel paradise to better places (i.e. Florida)..
OTOH, I have never seen a single team despised more than the Yankees.
Ok maybe the Lakers but I think the Yankess are the most HATED
franchise in the world, with your local Burger King being a close
second..

I think too many people confuse "despised" with misguided jealousy.
