Apparently, season ticket sales are going well. I say this because I was
supposed to be part of a group buying a partial season package (a weekends
package). We kept getting pushed further out down the lines and higher up
in the stands until one of the three members in our group dropped out and
the guy organizing the group decided he couldn't find anybody else to take
her place.

If season ticket sales aren't going surprisingly well, then the D-Backs
are being extremely idiotic by treating potential customers this way (I'm
not too thrilled about the way they treated us in any case).

How are they pushing you out?

Isn't it first-come, first-served once they open the door?

We started out being promised seats in one of about four sections,
starting in about the tenth row or so.

A few days later, we got pushed a section further down the base lines and
a couple of rows further up.

A week later, we got pushed further out and up yet again.

I've no clue. Because we were trying to buy a partial season package,
we're lower on the food chain than buyers of full-season packages.
Presumably, sales of those full-season packages are going better than
expected, because they kept taking seats out of the pool available to
partial-season packages and making them available to full-season packages.
