It seems not so long ago that there was an overabundance of lefties. Now
I see the dark shadow of Langerhans waiting in the wings........

They won't let him hit lefty because he couldn't hit lefty. I can say I'm a
switch hitter (I'm a southpaw), but if I can't swing better than a 6 year
old girl then it doesn't do the team very much good. Nook may be able to
look better than me as a lefty, but I don't want to see him in the first
base batters box.

Sorry sir, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again...
You know, with the Red Sox willing to pony up Ellsbury because of the
alleged ease in finding replacement OFs of his caliber, I'm baffled why it's
more difficult to find a player with so little self-respect that he's
willing to hover around the bench, waiting to K with a game on the line
late, rather than voluntarily drive himself to the nearest AA team and play
with the little fishes....
I guess I answered my own question.
