New to DI Houston Baptist:

The Huskies had a pretty good team last year, ahd have a lot of players
returning.

How come get get to start their schedule on Feb. 1?

It looks like they are transitioning to D1. There's 25 games against
lower division teams on their schedule, and all of the games before
the D1 start date are against lower division schools. My guess would
be that they aren't D1 yet, although their appearance in the D1
independent tournament at the end of the season is a bit strange.
