An announcement will be made today regarding the Expos playing in San
Juan next season. All of the series will be complete before the
all-star break. The fences in San Juan will be moved back 25 feet.

I hope there's an uproar when it's announced that one of the series
moved will be one against the Blue Jays.

It does seem exceptionally...suspicious...that the stated reason that MLB gives
for having games in San Juan is to increase revenue but then they move a series
there which is virtually a guaranteed sell-out were it to be played in the O.

It does make me think that the stated reason is a deliberate lie by Selig. It
is something that should definitely be raised in the racketeering case against
him and Loria.

The fact of the matter is that the series with the Jays in Montreal last
June drew moderately well but none of the three games came anywhere near to
a sell-out. The games Friday and Saturday drew about 11,000 each and
Sunday's game drew 15,500 (or thereabouts). Of course that would have been
a lot better had I been able to attend!

SkyDome is generally packed and split 50/50 at Jays/Expos games.
