The Sox and Twins enter an exciting STRETCH run. The Twins leave the
comfort of the Twinkie Dome for 14 straight road games, starting with
4 in Anaheim, home of the team I believe is the best in MLB.

If either Sox or Twins go on a losing skid, the season may be over for
that team. On the other hand, should both keep winning then perhaps
both Sox and Twins could go into the post-season. If the wild card
comes from the AL Central, I believe it may be the first time that has
happened.

I'm set for an exciting STRETCH run!

I believe in 2006 the Twins won the division & the Tigers were the
wild card.

What a major dipshit you are! The Cubs have the better record, and
have reigned as Best Team in Baseball for a larger portion of the
season.

Don't feel too bad, though. You always have your beloved Green Bay
Packers to comfort you during your long eventless fall season.

As am I, good doctor! Exciting season so far, withthe ups far outweighing
the downs.

Biggest test thus far comes up this weekend against Tampa Bay of St.
Petersburg, a team we have beaten 3 times already in Tampa/St. Pete. Would
be nice to at least even up this series on our home field.

We have series left against all the AL contenders over the next 5 1/2
weeks - TB, Boston, LA of A, and Minny - if we survive this stretch run, we
will be more than worthy of being labelled contenders.

I'm looking forward to Friday - win one game at a time!

That's right!

Quentin and Ramirez have had spectacular seasons. In April Cubbie
fans and the media were talking about how the Cubbies had two
contenders for the Rookie Of The Year - Soto and FukUdome. FukU has
fallen off dramatically. While all the B.S. and hype were swirling
around FukU, Ramirez waited and when he got his chance to start he
just exploded and hasn't stopped. Now Ramirez is getting attention,
and rightfully so and Quentin has to be a strong candidate for MVP.

Perhaps Kenny's best move was not landing FukU.

I thought some of the deals that KW made over the winter looked a
little weird, but here we are in late August in the middle of the
hunt. His trades and pickups (Swish, Quentin, Ramirez) have worked
beyond anything I expected. I am hopeful.

White Sox go on the road Monday for 9 against Baltimore, Boston and
Cleveland. A 6/3 trip would be very nice. Still looks like to me it will
come down to the last week with the Twins away and the Indians at home......

The NL is a total joke--weakest league in baseball history.
Most of those so called playoff bound NL teams wouldn't even see .500
in the AL.

I must agree with you on the Angels. Not only do they play
in superior American League, but they are the only team in
MLB with a winning record at home, on the road, against each
division in their league, and in interleague play.

Looking ahead to the postseason, the World Series will be
light work for the AL. This may be weakest year of the
NL in decades.

The Flubs are the class of the league with a pitching staff consisting
of journeymen like Dempster and Lilly.
