The Cubbies won the series at Wrigley, and now the Sox have won the
series at The Cell. Great win today!
For the Cubbies, they've now lost 4 o 5 since they swept the Sox last
weekend. And they continue their trend of giving up an average of 6
runs a game to AL teams.
For the Sox, Javy Vazquez really needs to start pitching better. He's
had several poor starts in a row. The bullpen did a tremendous job
today with nearly 5 innings without surrendering a run. And the BP, a
very serious weakness last year has been great this season.

The Cubbies got off to a fast start before the injury bug bit them and gave
false hope to their long-suffering fans. Now that the summer is here the
Cubs have entered into their historical summer swoon. It started a little
earlier than usual, but the slump is still 100% pure Cubs. >> Stay informed about: SOX WIN THE SERIES! |

So much for the loud-mouth louts promises of a complete 6 game Cubbie
sweep of the Sox.
The Cubbies, ballyhooed by the loud mouth lout as "the best team in
baseball," will end interleague play with a losing record to the AL,
whether they manage to win tomorrow or not. >> Stay informed about: SOX WIN THE SERIES! |

The Cubs are temporarily without their best pitcher and best hitter so do
not make fun of them yet. The overall talent level and the management of
Lou Piniella and the surprise emergence of Kerry Wood as a relief pitcher
may combine to end the 100 year curse before it is all over. >> Stay informed about: SOX WIN THE SERIES! |

As pointed out by myself and others on this newsgroup the NL is vastly
inferior.
If the flubbies played in the AL they wouldn't even see anything close
to 500. >> Stay informed about: SOX WIN THE SERIES! |

Cheese with that whine?
When the louts boast about how the Cubbies dominated the Sox last
season, do they temper their boast with, "Well the Sox were without
their starting 3rd baseman, Joe Crede and they were also missing Scott
Pods and Thome was banged up too."
Plus, all I remember hearing about was the great team - the great
bench and the unbelievably deep pitching staff that Jimbo Hendry had
built. So, now a couple guys are hurt and they're losing to the AL?
Let's not forget too that loud mouth Cubbie louts were beating their
chests about how the Sox were going to finish in last place this year.
The Sox have a very good team. At the start of the season when a
Cubbie blogger dismissed the Sox by saying, "Who needs pitching? Who
needs defense..." I posted that the Sox defense was as good and
probably better than the Cubbies. It is. And I said that the Sox
pitching would be good and that after Zambrano the Cubbie staff was
questionable.
I stand by what I said back then.

There is most certainly something to the global warming thing. The climate
of the earth does change from time to time. We are on the beginning of one
of these changes and we will either adapt or die in large numbers.
The reason that there are no more dinosaurs or saber toothed tigers or Cro
Magnon man is not that they were unfit to live. The reason is that the
climate changes from time to time. >> Stay informed about: SOX WIN THE SERIES! |
